That's the opening sentence of an article in the Winter 2009 edition of "The Magazine of the Heinz Endowments". The article by avid cyclist, and writer for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Lawrence Walsh, highlights the achievements of the Passage in bringing people and new business to towns along the Great Allegheny Passage.
